I saw this rug at TENT a few weeks ago and, although I didn't feature it in my review it has stayed in my mind. I love Sanna Annukka's work (have you seen her new book? - gorgeous!), the patterns are great, but it's the rich colours I usually fall for. This collaboration with rug maker Node works a treat.
Whilst I'm feeling ruggish (if that isn't a real word I think it should be...) another fine example deserves a mention. The lovely Sarah and Howard from Parris Wakefield Additions have just launched this beautiful design as part of their new rug collection. I'm pleased to say you'll be able to read an interview with this talented pair next week on 'the weekend starts here' but I couldn't possibly wait that long to show you this rug loveliness.
This week I spent a morning drawing at the Haymarket Hotel in London, and although it's more extravagant than my usual taste, this is certainly a hotel that appreciates pattern.
And excitingly I won a prize last week for a wall design, which, despite being a runner up, rather than a winner, was a lovely treat never the less. Who wouldn't be pleased with a fat Posca parcel arriving unexpectedly?
My prize was this lovely haul of pens, and as much as I was tempted to keep them all to myself, I've put a couple aside for the bumper christmas prize draw which will be happening in December...so keep your eyes open for that exciting post in a few weeks time.
Tomorrow a great interview with Room39... see you then.
