Today I thought I would bring you these two energetic scarves from Mogollon, they are the pattern equivalent of a good shot of wheatgrass juice, and perfect for stopping me drifting off into a central heating induced stupor.
Out of the blue I got invited to take part in the REAL project this week. A creative project created by 1000Heads and the Royal Mail, which aims to bring back our appreciation of reality; real items, real stories and real things in the post...a real social network. I've been assigned a plot in the central London space (7-11 Stukeley Street) and have a month to populate it with things that mean something to me. Pretty cool. If you are in London then pop in and see all the boxes...they are as an eclectic collection of creatives as you could hope to find in one small space.
In the news, queen of geometry and op art Bridget Riley has received the Sikkens Prize. Bridget who is 81 years old is the first woman to receive the prize which is a Dutch art award recognising the use of colour.
This week is very exciting as our kitchen is finally getting fitted after a painful month of eating pot noodles and preparing meals on a work surface the size of a paper plate. When I say 'meals' I do of course mean 'toast'. Next week I think I am going to have to include at least some kitchen patterns...
