monday mix...umbrellas

Rain rain.  If the rain doesn't keep you from venturing out, then you might as well go out clutching an umbrella with a bit of style.  Here are three lovelies.

First up this umbrella was designed by Amy Tonkin and is being sold through Citta Design.

Next up this cute DIY project photographed by Christine Wisnieski for the great blog Design For Mankind.  You can read the full post here.

Now you might notice some changes ahead for patternbooth.  We're coming up to six months old and I've spent this time getting into my groove. I love finding new patterns and designers, interviewing clever pattern people and blogging about patterns. I'm inspired and am going to set aside some time to start developing my own patterns and products. (Of course I'll be showing them here first!) So, patternbooth will be coming to you three times a week from now on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

While I'm here I loved this floor at Google's Tel Aviv offices that I saw on the blog at Office Snapshots. Pretty gorgeous. I've spent some time in Google's UK offices and they are pretty awesome, but this floor is right up my street.  I'm not sure where the tiles are from, but I've seen something with a similar vibe at Domus.

See you Wednesday for some more pattern inspiration.
