Today I have a couple of lovely new patterns for you from the daring duo at Parris Wakefield Additions who you will know are not afraid to bring us the bold and the beautiful.
First though I have to give a mention to a patternbooth blog fave Lindsey Lang, who has rather brilliantly just won the Homes and Gardens Young Designer 2014. The Judges said "An impressive range of products in so many different materials" "A distinctive style with strong graphic appeal" "A perfect fit for contemporary interiors". I couldn't agree more. Patternbooth first interviewed Lindsey back in 2012, and if you weren't a follower back then you can read that interview here.
Right, back to those patterns. Parris Wakefield have two new offerings for those of you who love bold patterns and colour immersion. The first is called 'Chance' and is being printed onto cotton velvet, which I'm a bit excited about! Sarah told me that 'Chance' is a flamboyant and intricate pattern, full of rich colours that appear to be painted onto the fabric, merged with broad digital blurs. Inspired by the squeegee paintings by Gerhard Richter.
The second pattern 'Choice' is an "architectural series of lines, layered to create a check pattern with structure and depth. Blush pinks and pastel blues are punctuated with a pop of neon in this modern check".
You'll be able to see this new work when it launches at the BITA showcase during London Design Week. Meanwhile you can head to their site at www.parriswakefieldadditions.com
